This is a story circle started by PlopPhizz and continued by Mommylap and OneWetLeg and now by me. Maybe you'll write the next installment! See PlopPhizz 's site for the details.

The story begins with PlopPhizz ...

Zookeeper Bob was on a mission today. For ten years he had been a pawn in ZooCorps diabolical cover-up. Today was the day he took a stand.

The animals they were keeping caged up were really disguised extraterrestrial creatures of superior intelligence. It was Bobs destiny to free the aliens, assist them in destroying their captors and return with them to their home planet. But he would need more help.

Zookeeper Bob needed to find a way to communicate with the majority of the hidden extraterrestrials that were being kept by ZooCorp.

The alpha leader had telepathic abilities that, because Bob was a vegetarian who consumed many soy products, could communicate with Bob through his mind. The alpha leader could trust Bob fully because the zookeepers mind was an open book.

But all the creatures did not have this ability, and unfortunately the alpha leader couldnt persuade them that Bob was on their side.

Bob needed to either figure out a grand gesture that would create an instant trust (feeding and cleaning them did not establish this, being that these gestures were completely unnecessary for these creatures to thrive) or find someone who could on his behalf.

He approached the alpha-leader with a pint of soy milk and had it promptly slapped out of his hand.

Slap, splash, went the soy milk and zoo-keeper bob got a sad look on his face.

"You need to give these beings a reason to live! not more ding-dong soy products! we create our own food from our waste products. that is how advanced we are."

Zoo-keeper Bob thought about this for a moment.

"How can i make them trust me?" He thought, "Maybe if i set them free..."

But how? Bob didn't have the access codes to open the containment areas. On top of that, there were the surveillance cameras to worry about. And where would these creatures go once he set them free?

Bob could feel the alpha-leader in his mind observing his thoughts. He waited for the voice to tell him what he should do. Then the thought occured to him, "Am I going crazy? Is this real?"

He remembered reading about the Son of Sam who said that his neighbors dog ordered him to kill. "What if that's what happening to me? What if I'm just going nuts?"

Then the soothing voice of the Alpha leader told him . . .
