2003-05-12 - 7:07 a.m. Don't you just hate that kind of rainy day - Light enough so that you feel silly holding your umbrella, it does no good anyway since the fine mist finds and clings to your skin like a clam's embrace. Just heavy enough that you have to use the windshield wipers, but light enough that they squeak and grind every third pass, even on the intermittent setting. You find yourself yourself turning them on and off every six seconds. Damp enough so that if you're out in it for more than four minutes you feel the chill. It takes a cup of tea and two hot chocolates to warm the shivers out of your spine. But just enough sun peaks through the grey to make you feel guilty for staying inside and neglecting the tasks you set aside for the day. Don' t you just hate those rainy days?
